Eco Invest Brasil - Project Structuring (Sustainable Export)
Last updated: 03/11/2026Program Overview
Program description and objectives:
Eco Invest Brasil is a programme of Brazil’s Ministry of Finance under the Ecological Transformation Plan, created to unlock sustainable private investment and attract foreign capital for long-term investments. Many sustainable projects do not get off the ground because they lack planning, technical studies and financial modelling. This line was created precisely to support local companies and governments in project structuring. It provides financial and technical support to develop sustainable projects and help them get off the ground. With this line, it will be possible to develop projects in areas such as the bioeconomy, the circular economy, the energy transition and green infrastructure, aimed at companies that intend to export some or all of their products.
Raising the quality of project preparation so that projects reach implementation requires considerable financial resources and access to international service providers, which both private developers and local governments often lack. The line aims to provide timely and sufficient financial and technical resources. Its goals are to reduce the rate of unsuccessful projects, make successful projects more attractive to private investors and grow the portfolio of sustainable projects. Sectors include technological densification, the bioeconomy, the energy transition, the circular economy, new green infrastructure and adaptation to climate change. Priority goes to projects that combine ecological transformation with products and services destined partly or fully for export. The line will also support the creation, expansion and financing of new project offices and project structuring firms. The aim is a distributed network of projects and more specialised services in Brazil.
